The inability to understand speech in situations with background noise, is an unsolved problem. This problem is not resolved with the current generation hearing devices because hearing with these devices does not result in binaural hearing. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) one in four people will have hearing problems in 2050, and about 43% of adults, especially those with hearing loss, suffer from the cocktail party problem.

BeephoniX solves the cocktail party problem with a single dynamic hearing system. Our hearing system is based on the dynamic ears of bees. Our system contains a dynamic microphone and because of the realization of a superior beam former the signal/noise ratio is significantly improved.
